How to be Active in Divestment

This Action provides many ways to get involved with Divestment and the people affected by this tragic conflict.


  1. Get involved with one of the U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation's "Days of Action".
  2. Boycott the companies whose products are involved in gross acts of injustice toward the Palestinian population.
  3. Support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency which was created for the purpose of assisting Palestinian refugees in 1949. They work to provide emergency assistance, relief and social services, healthcare, education, micro-finance opportunities for persons affected by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
  4. Sign-up for the United Methodist Kairos Response's newsletter and stay up to date with current campaigns. There are many ways to help from home!
  5. Add your name to the list of UMC clergy and employees participating in the General Board's service asking the General Board of Pension and Health Benefits (GBPHB) to divest from the Israeli occupation. See the Divestment Resolutions for this year's General Conference.
  6. Give a presentation to your local community or small group using UMKR's "Boycott PowerPoint".
  7. Find resources here to educate yourself on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the issue of Divestment within the United Methodist Church.
